Shadow

“Shadow,” from the Mindscapes series, draws on Carl Jung’s notion of the shadow self — the parts of us that remain unspoken, obscured, or only half acknowledged. The painting leans into this territory through muted greens, greys, and blues that unfold across a hazy, layered background, creating a sense of depth that feels both distant and intimate.
Across this ground, darker linear forms break and reconnect, suggesting fleeting figures or half-formed presences that never fully resolve. Their fractured geometry introduces a tension between clarity and obscurity, mirroring the push and pull between conscious thought and the quieter forces that operate below awareness.
