Bio & CV

Joerg Kesín is an artist based in Valencia, Spain. Born in Hamburg, Germany, he spent extended periods in Russia and Uzbekistan during the 1990s following the break-up of the Soviet Union, travelling, studying, and working across the region before later living in London and eventually settling in Spain.

Working mainly with oil and acrylic, Kesín explores how layering can construct alternative ways of seeing a subject.
Each painting gradually develops through a dialogue between intention and chance.
Kesín is particularly interested in the tension between clarity and obscurity, allowing forms and relationships to emerge over time.

Rather than offering fixed meanings, the works remain intentionally open, inviting viewers to discover their own associations.
