This series was created in 2024 for the exhibition ‘What Remains’ in Valencia. It was inspired by the idea of the Mediterranean region as a place of constant change, movement and transformation.
A fairly general brief which included thoughts about history and politics, changes in climate and especially the movement of people.
I worked on several of these pieces simultaneously, so there was a strong cross-influence, and to me the works, even though looking very individual, are very much interconnected.
Also they follow the constraints given by the concept of the exhibition: All are on A3 300g Arches paper, and there were only five acrylic colours from ‘Liquitex’ used, plus black and white.
