Stakkato

About the work:
“Stakkato” unfolds through the tension between visible gesture and concealed form. The dark and light grey planes assert themselves as solid thresholds, yet the layers beneath them — the warm orange above and the darker field below — suggest earlier movements or traces that have not fully receded. These glimpses hint at forms or rhythms held in reserve, partly hidden by the weight of the surface.
Between the grey boundaries, three vertical openings create intervals that can be sensed as presences or pauses — fleeting impressions caught between emergence and obscurity. Within this compressed space, sharper strokes and bursts of colour add a clipped, percussive momentum, as if the painting advances in short impulses.
