Solo Exhibition
Eyes Between Worlds brings together works from several interconnected series — Future Relics, Echo, and Domestic, gathered around the larger-scale paintings of Anima — along with a group of ceramic pieces made in collaboration with ceramicist Dana Gynther. Together, they trace my ongoing interest in the shifting and uneasy relationships between humans and animals.
The works move between figuration and abstraction, history and speculation, layering symbolic forms, ceramics, and stylised portraits. Some suggest fragments of our present seen from a distant future; others recall vanished species, domesticated companions, or animal-deities drawn from older belief systems.
A new video work, also titled Future Relics, assembles fragments of a repeated transmission from the future — partial signals that surfaced over time and became the imagined source for the earlier paintings.
With Anima, I work toward an abstract visual language that might hint at how animals perceive us, and the confined worlds we build around them.
Rather than aiming for resolution, the pieces circle around tension, asymmetry, and changing points of view.
